Whale & Dolphin Watching

The duration for trips to observe whales and dolphins take about 3h.
Please calculate some time on your departue day as we might leave
the port later, depending on weather conditions and presense of animals.
Sometimes the trips take also a bit longer. Our boats take a mximum of
10 passengers and are fully equiped with safety equipment. You will
receive a life west and the crew has grown up in the azorean waters.
During our trips since 1999 we spotted Cetaceans on 99% of our
departures. Of coure there is no guarantee to see certain species;
the Ocean is no Zoo. But our crew and the land based spotter will do
their best to create an unforgettable tour for you.

»Dolphin contact« (Swimming with dolphins)

During the last years we have dicovered, that this program is the most
popular and fascinating tour of our offers. Therefore we are very
experienced in working with dolphins. Sometimes we meet over two-
hundred individuals in a group. To join them in the water an explore their
kingdom is one of the most exiting experience of life.

Important: Swimming with whales is not permitted. Swimming with
dolphins is allowed with mask, snorkel and fins. No use of scuba gear
is permitted.

We are specialised on Professionals, photographers and TV Teams.

In addition to our in-, on- and under water activities we organise a
variety of land-based tours. These include island tours by car to
explore Pico, climbing the volcano Pico, exploring the biggest Lava
cave of Europe, cultural excursions and visits to destelleries and
cheese factories (depending on the season), as well as day-trips
to the neighbouring islands Sao Jorge and Faial.

Travelling with your baby? No problem for Pico Sport!

We offer a baby sitter service for all babys up to 3 years. During your
diving, whale watching or mountain climbing the baby will stay with Fatima,
our experienced Baby Sitter. In her house there are beds, toys and
everything the little ones might need.

Swimming and Sun Bathing

In Madalena and around we have some nice nature pools and swim sites.
There is another swimming pool in Madalena city only 15 Min walk away
from Apartments Atlantis and perfect for little kids.
