Frank Wirth from Pico Sport Lda. is an
experienced photographer himself and has
a long record of working with wildlife.
He has specialised in marine mammals in
Azorean waters and in Patagonia (Argentina).
A trip must be planed carefully and well
organised to garantee success. Beside
of this you need luck, because we can not
control the weather situation or the animals.
Therefore it is necessary for you to choose
a professional company that is able to get
the maximum from each situation that occurs.

Therefore we operate a network of land based spotter on 3 Islands. We
control more than 600km coast around the central Islands. Therefore we
can operate in any location, mostly far away from regular Whale Watching
boats.

3. We operate 3 modern and well maintained and fully equipped semi
ridged inflatable boats with professional crews.
4. Due to the law you need to require a filming and under water work
permit with whales (not dolphins). We assists and can help with this paper
work. Please note that any request should be done at least 2 month prior
production!
5. Preparation as most important for smooth working. We know our waters
and the locations and assist in all necessary preparations.
6. We offer a full service and meet you at the airport. All transfers, Hotel
etc. are arranged. So you can concentrate and use your production time
perfectly.
7. We do not charge fees on days where the weather does not allow
departures,
